Qualcomm QCN 865 wifi 7 adapter M.2 card partially works only under windows 11.
The wifi 7 M.2 module QCNCM 865, IC:2723A-QCNM865 SN KF3AK001BY
Has no downloadable windows 10 or 11 64 bit driver.
On windows 10 it doesn't work at all, it's not even recognized as an unknown device on device manager
On windows 11 the windows update default driver just installs the wifi and not the bluetooth and I am not sure if the wifi is up to spec (e.g 6GHz band capability)
Bluetooth certainly doesn't work, I only found these drivers so far but these seem also not to fix the bluetooth issue (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GC-WIFI7/support#support-childModelsMenu)
But since the wifi part of it (with the default windows update drivers NOT with the ones provided by the link above ) works and only the Bluetooth doesn't I think it's driver issue and not a hardware one
From device manager the driver is labeled as "Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 Wi-Fi 7 High Band Simultaneous (HBS) Network adapter #5" version 3.0.0.1225, and again this has only the wifi part working (I don't know if it has the ax capabilities and the 6ghz wifi 7 capabilities it supposed to have ) but Bluetooth doesn't work
These are the device ID as windows sees it.
PCI\VEN_17CB&DEV_11078SUBSYS EOFB105B&REV_01
PCI\VEN 17CB&DEV 1107&SUBSYS EOFB105B
PCI\VEN 17CB&DEV 1107&CC 028000
PCI\VEN 17CB&DEV 11078CC_0280
On the section "capabilities" it has one entry all 0s
It's not just that I don't see any Bluetooth options, I for example installed Google's quick share App and it also tells me that my laptop doesn't have Bluetooth...
The laptop is an Acer Predator Helios 300 with Intel chipset and had a wifi n wifi6 card prior to this.
Qualcomm doesn't have a direct way for me to contact them on this, I found a support email (******@qti.qualcomm.com) but only thing I got is a bot reply with a Jira link to add a comment the link doesn't work and I never got any reply on the issue not even one to say that they won't bother with retail clients ... Lol
So it's all on you guys hope that one of you can help me 🙏🏻
If you know how to forward this issue to like a windows driver department even better !! They surely would be able to help.

2024-08-10T19:15:29+00:00 I have a similar strange problem. I have the same adapter. I use Windows 11 24H2. Build 26120.1350 and can't use Wifi 7. It will only connect to WiFi6 on my Fritz!Box 5690 pro (Wifi7 6Ghz and 5 Ghz)

2024-07-14T22:07:57+00:00 As I mentioned in the OP Qualcomm doesnt have a direct channel to askf for drivers or get support.
Furthermore I tried installing an other m.2 wifi module, the intel AX200 (wifi 6) and this time I could get drivers directly from intel for wifi and bluetooth (they were separate drivers) but again the same issue, wifi works fine but no BT or a bt device showing up on device manager.
So this must be either an Acer issue or a Microsoft issue (either in case with the drivers of these particular modules or in use of these modules with my particular motherboard/cpu which is an intel 8750H btw) because the module that came with the laptop (an intel WIFI 5 one which I cant remember the exact part number now ) had also bluetooth and it worked fine

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.
In your description, your Qualcomm QCN 865 wifi 7 adapter doesn't work on Windows 10, and on Windows 11, when you use the default driver, you find that it has Bluetooth issues.
We need to make it clear that when some devices have driver problems, we recommend you to contact the device manufacturer, ask them for the driver and try to install it on your computer.
And the device manufacturer's driver will need to make some changes to adapt to Windows.
You can try the following steps to try to change the driver manually
1 Search for and open Device Manager in the taskbar, find your Qualcomm QCN 865 wifi 7 adapter, right-click on it, select "Update Drivers", and then select "Browse My Computer for Drivers".
2 On the "Select from Computer List" screen, click "Let me select from the list of available drivers on my computer" at the bottom.
3 On the "Select a device driver to install for this hardware" screen, check to see if there are other drivers available, if so, try selecting another driver and installing it to see if the problem is resolved.
If there are no other drivers available, or if it still doesn't work after selecting another driver, then we still recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the Qualcomm QCN 865 wifi 7 adapter and ask them if they have the relevant driver.
