Hi All,
All of a sudden most of the windows 10 users got a smart screen error stating "Windows expired and need to activate"
It will get activated only if i do manually from activation console. Any suggestion why it stopped auto activation. Any logs i need to check. Please advice

How this problem get started?
Did you make any changes to your PC?
No Reza, AD team said there is no GPO changes applied. Only few users are facing this issue
Do you see any related error in the Event Viewer? Probably in the Administrator filter?
Are you able to ping the KMS server?

Check the registry setting From this page, in theory this settings should not apply to a KMS client.
Registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\Activation

0 = Allow automatic online activation (default)
1 = Disable auto-activation
MAK and KMS host but not KMS client
I verified the above registry settings. Its 0 and we have KMS server for volume activation
Is that this should be 1? Please suggest. Any other logs i need to check

the registry setting should be 0. In the application logs, you should see the 12288 and 12289 on the client, if they are sent and received, the client is sending the request the KMS host is responding.
IDo you see those requests being sent?
If you do not see those requests being generated, let's check the task scheduler for the task that fires the request to renew
to make sure that task is not disabled.
Right -click on start and choose Computer management
Task Scheduler is in Computer Management
Navigate to Microsoft: Windows; SoftwareProtectionProgram
Under that is the task to check.
Task Name is SvcRestartTask

Generally, automatically your license will be renewed by connecting organizations activation kms sever.
every 180 days license will be renewed .
You might have a volume license client installed.
To confirm:
Open CMD then Run as administrator
At the prompt, type: slmgr.vbs /dlv
