Admin Deleted can't make changes

Hello! I purchased a computer for my kid and while setting it up in Microsoft "family" made the only user standard and not an admin. Now I am stuck.

2 calls to tech support with no resolution.

I have tried re-installing Microsoft 11 with a USB boot, but the "run" or "yes" prompt is unavailable. Only the "no" for not trusting the install.

I tried accessing the built in admin through the CMD prompt but it won't let me run as an admin...again only the "no" appears.

Is there any way to proceed and gain admin access? Thanks

You seem to be running the USB from inside Windows, you cannot do that because you do not have administrator privileges.

Backup your files,

Then go into BIOS and set the device shown below as number 1 in the boot priority list so your PC boots up from the USB, save those settings and restart your PC to boot from the USB.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Because there is no administrator account on the PC, the only option now will be to backup the files on the PC, then boot the PC from the Windows USB you have created and use that to clean install Windows.

You cannot run the USB form inside Windows, you need to boot from the USB, the method to do that varies from PC to PC, usually you need to go into BIOS, disable Secure Boot for the installation and set the USB as the primary boot device.

What is the make (Dell, Lenovo, Asus... etc.) of that PC?
