Newly installed program unable to launch. What does this error event log mean?

To preface, I am not a tech genius, so please try to advise in as simple terms as possible! Thank you for your help in advance.

I've been attempting to open the newly installed Twingate program, but every time I click on it, the program immediately crashes before even loading.

Is it possible to explain to me what is preventing the program Twingate from launching as well as how I could possibly solve the issue based off of what is provided in these logs?

This is the general information the Event Viewer provided for the crash error in subsequent order:

Hello, I'm Manoel Barros! I will help you in the best way possible, using my knowledge and experience.

Checking the error logs and doing a quick search, I discovered that the program requires the .NET Desktop Runtime to be installed correctly.

You can check out more information at the link below:

https://www.twingate.com/docs/windows

Your NET may be corrupted or out of date. Try installing a new version of it:

  1. Press the WINDOWS + R keys > Type "appwiz.cpl" (without quotes) > Click on "Turn Windows features on or off" > Activate the "NET Fremework 3.5 (Includes NET 2.0 and 3.0)" feature by checking the box next to side.
  2. When a screen appears, select the option "Allow Windows Update to download files for you" > Wait for it to complete > Restart the device.
  3. Download and install the latest version of NET Framework (4.8.1) from the link below:

https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dot...

  1. Download and install the .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.32 (x64):

https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dot...

  1. Restart your computer

I look forward to your feedback on the issue. Don't forget to let me know if your problem has been resolved!

THANK YOU SO MUCH. It was the .NET thing! The version needed replaced/updated. Never had that interfere with an installation before so didn't know it could be an issue at all!

Have a wonderful day because you just saved mine!
