unknown bitlocker id after failed update

Hello everyone. i just restarted my laptop after an update. During the restart i got the message about resetting psp nvram and ftpm vram. i said no and am required to enter my bitlocker key (would have to regardless if i said yes or no). i have used bitlocker keys before. i could do this without any issue but now its asking for a key with an id that doesnt exist. i have tried using the keys i do have but since the id doesnt match they dont work. what are my options? would using a backup from a few months allow me to use one of my existing keys? or are there any better options? if possible i would rather not go back to my last backup since i will lose a lot of progress i made in a project over the last month.

thanks in advance

If the recovery keys you have in your Microsoft account don't work then a clean install is usually the only option.

If BitLocker is activated I doubt you can apply a backup to the system.

I hope you have a backup of your project to restore after the clean install. It will delete everything on the system disk.

I'm not sure how, but try to deinstall last windows update (possible KB5040427). I have read in another forum (in german) that someone could prevent this prompt of bitlocker with deintsallation of the update
