I have the same problem after updating Windows11 one time. I already reported it to Microsoft, but I haven't received any feedback. As the largest software company, they made this fundamental IME problem, I feel unbelievable.
Problem with Text suggestions from windows
When I attempt to type on my PC, the text suggestion feature activates during typing. However, selecting the suggested text causes an issue. For instance, typing 'MICRO' in a text box prompts the suggestion 'Microsoft', but clicking on 'Microsoft' results in the text 'MICRO' being replaced with 'MICROMicrosoft'. Despite contacting Microsoft customer support and spending five hours troubleshooting the problem, we were unable to resolve it. The final recommendation was to reset the entire PC, which I am reluctant to do. If anyone has a solution to this problem, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

2024-07-08T14:04:07+00:00 Hi,
I am facing the same issue. It used to work fine before but out of the blue, it started behaving the way the reporter has mentioned.
I can assure you no settings were changed or no new software was installed, there could have been a few minor Windows updates but that's about it.
Side Note:
Also, I was a member of the Windows Insider Program. Current Installed build: 22635.3858 ni release
I opted out of it due to this and multiple Green Screen of Death.
