Error message appears when starting laptop, and randomly throughout session:

"Assertation failed!

Program:

...\node-vulcanjs\build\Release\VulcanMessageLib.node

File: C:\bld\workspace\CCX-Process\release...\vulcanadaptor.cc

Line: 390

For information on how your program can cause an assertation failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts

(Press retry to debug the application - JIT must be enabled)"

Have tried :

  • "Abort", "Retry", and "Ignore" options on pop up, error message reappears either immediately or randomly in an hour or so.
  • Repair/reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables
  • Download/installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable latest supported downloads
  • Updating/restarting laptop

I'm running Windows 11, version 10.0.22631 on a HP Pavilion x360. Any additional information needed just let me know!

    Hello, I am Mite, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am here to offer help.

    The problem might be caused by the program under the path C:\bld\workspace\CCX-Process. You can have a look and see whether you can recognize it.

    Thanks for the suggestion - unfortunately I cannot find a path that matches, or anything that contains "CCX-Process" apart from some Uninstall files.

    You can perform a "clean boot" to find this corrupted program. A "clean boot" starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is causing this problem. To perform a clean boot, you can follow this tutorial: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-t...
