I bought brand new Lenovo ThinkPad Notebook. After one year I got blue screen to insert recovery key for BitLocker. I got my PC with pre-installed Windows OS. I haven't link my Microsoft account with BitLocker. Why BitLocker locked my PC now ?

If you used that account on your PC, then the Bitlocker key may be available on that account.

If you are unable to find the Bitlocker key on any account oyu may have used or linked that PC to, the only way to remove the encryption is to completely re-install Windows from a bootable USB and at the start of the process, delete all partitions on the drive, which will result in loss of all data on the drive.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

This is a problem many people report with Lenovo and Dell systems, Bitlocker gets enabled automatically, it seems to be a problem with the image they use to load the systems.
