Some of the motherboards with the 12th Gen Intel processor need an additional driver for the drives being recognized on the Windows installation. You may need to load the "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" driver during the Windows installation for your SSD to be recognized.

1-Download the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver from this link.

    https://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/mb/intel_rst_1...

2-Unzip the driver, then copy the folder "f6vmdflpy-x64" to the flash drive with the Windows installation

3-Boot your computer from the flash drive and proceed to the Windows installation until you reach the "Where you want to install Windows?" screen

    4-Click on "Load driver"

5-Select the folder "f6vmdflpy-x64" and click on OK

6-Select the "Intel RST VMD Controller" and click on Next

7-Then you should be able to see your SSD and proceed with the custom installation of Windows

Your SSD not showing up during Windows installation indicates a hardware problem. The first thing that you need to check is if your SSD is recognized on Bios.

If you don't know how to identify if your hard drive is recognized or not, attach a photo of the first screen of the Bios settings and a photo of the boot settings screen and I'll be glad to help you.

If your SSD is not recognized on Bios, you will need to disconnect and reconnect the SSD from the motherboard, change the SATA port, or replace the SATA cable and check if your SSD will be recognized.

If your SSD is recognized on Bios, you will need to check if there are any problems with your SSD. You can use a tool called SeaTools bootable to check the health of your SSD and scan it for errors. You will need to use another computer to download the SeaTools and create the bootable flash drive.

"SeaTools Bootable is a comprehensive, easy-to-use diagnostic tool that helps you quickly determine what is preventing you from accessing data on your desktop or notebook computer. It includes several tests that will examine the physical media on your Seagate, Maxtor or Samsung disk drive and any non-Seagate disk drive."

You can see more information and download the SeaTools at these links.

Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

If SeaTools identifies any problem with your SSD, it means that your SSD is physically damaged and needs to be replaced.

" Question: do i need to I steal the windows 11 installation media or the windows 11 disk image"

-You need to download the "Create Windows 11 Installation Media", with this tool you will be able to download the Windows ISO and create the bootable flash drive.

    Hi, Chris,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

When even the "Reset this pc" option fails, it means that your Windows installation is severely corrupted and you will need to reinstall Windows.

You will need to use another computer to create a bootable flash drive with the Windows installation and perform a custom installation of Windows.

As long as you do not format the C: drive in the Setup, you will not lose your data, but they will be moved to another location. After the installation, you can find a folder Windows.old in the root directory of C: drive. All your files are saved there.

Note: This procedure only will keep the personal files, all software and apps need to be reinstalled.

1-Create a USB device with an installation image.

You can create using the media creation tool, download it on this link.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

2-Enter on BIOS/UEFI and change to boot from the USB device.

    3-Click "Install Now".

4- Type your product key or skip it. Usually, your computer will be activated automatically when it's connected to a network if you install the same version of Windows as before.

5- Select the installation type "Custom".

6- Select the C: drive and click Next to proceed. Then, wait patiently until the installation is complete 100%.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions or the problem persists, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.
