Hello all,

I have started receiving the BSOD a few times, and I have decided to reset my PC however, whenever I type the password to reset this PC it says incorrect password even though I know the password is correct. I have already reset it and tired it again but still the same issue. I need some assistance, thank you.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

This is a common problem in the Windows Recovery Environment, if you use a Microsoft account to log into Windows.

If you can get into Windows in normal mode, open the Settings App, then go to Accounts - Your Info.

On that Settings page, there should either be the option to 'Switch to a local Account', or the option to 'Stop automatically logging into apps with this account'

Select whichever of those two options exist, that will switch Windows to a Local account login and you should then be able to reset Windows, you would not be blocked by a password.
