Mouse lag

My Logitech Lift mouse using a wireless receiver is lagging badly every so often for a short period. The mouse works just fine on other computers, and I have reinstalled the up to date BIOS, so that leaves Windows to be the culprit I think. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hi,

Kindly check if you have pointer trails enabled. If so, then try disabling this option. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Additional mouse settings > Pointer options > Uncheck the box next to ‘Display pointer trails' > Click Apply, then OK.

If the problem still persists, try performing clean boot to determine whether a startup application or service is causing the issue. You can follow the steps provided in the following article.

    Hi,

Does the issue happen across all applications or only when using specific apps?

I tried all of these but unfortunately the issue persists. Although I don't think this issue occurred with my old mouse, but that one was wired.

Hello! I'm Jen, and I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Please ensure to update Windows to the latest version. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for Updates and install any available updates.

Try to update your mouse driver as well. Right click Start button > Select Device Manager > Expand the section 'Mice and other pointing devices' > Right click on your mouse driver > Select Update driver.

You could also try to use the DISM tool and run SFC scan to repair any missing or corrupted system files. In the Windows search bar, type in cmd, right-click on Command Prompt and Run as administrator. Click “Yes” to allow the command prompt if prompted by User Account Control. Copy and paste the following commands and hit Enter after each command line.

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    sfc /scannow

Once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window and reboot your computer. Check to see if the problem is resolved.

If the problem still persists, try connecting another mouse to see if the same issue occurs. Let me know how it goes.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.

    Best Regards!

    Jen :)
