Computer Keeps Randomly Freezing

Sometimes my computer will just freeze and if I'm watching something then the sound will keep playing but the actual thing is frozen. I have noticed a pattern it's usually when I try to open a new application/open an already open application but sometimes it will just randomly freeze. Also, I don't know if this is relevant but whenever I open up task manager for the first few seconds the CPU Usage is at 100% and then slowly decreases to around 20-40%.

The outdated version of Bios and the graphics driver could be the cause of the problem.

Step 1: Download and install the latest version of Bios (L1.93) from the Asrock website at this link.

Step 2: Install the latest version of the Chipset driver. You can use the Intel Driver & Support Assistant from this link to install the latest version of the Chipset driver.

    https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B560M-C/index.u...

Step 3: There is a new version of the graphics driver on the Nvidia website released on 2024.7.16. You can download the latest version of the graphics driver at this link.

Updating these drivers should fix the problem.

    Hi, Aaron,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

Usually, this problem is caused by a corrupted or outdated driver. Please provide some more details to help identify what is causing this problem. Are you using a laptop or a desktop? Which is the model of your computer/laptop or motherboard?

Also, attach a screenshot of the System Information Page:

1-Right-click on Start then click on Run

2-Type: msinfo32 and click on Ok

And a screenshot of the version of the graphics driver installed:

1-Right-click on Start then click on Device Manager

2-Click to expand the Display adapters

3-Right-click on the graphics driver and click on properties

4-Take a screenshot of the General

5- Go to the Driver tab and take a screenshot

You can see at this link how to include a screenshot in your post.
