I have windows 11, it's the second time that it occurred to me: after updating and restarting, a new user automatically created, it called MULTI USER, why does it happens and how to prevent it?

windows 11 home

version- 10.0.22631 build 22631

Meanwhile I just deleted it twice.

thank you,

    Thanks for replying, Emilly.

I think that I found the reason:

I have the ESET anti-virus, and while activating the Anti-Theft system, it creates a Phantom Account (and sending mails every time using it).

I deactivated the system and the user deleted.

Simple reason... but I didn't know that this system creates this.

(And I don't want anyone to use my computer with no password).

Is there and way using this system with no account added?

    Again, thank you very much.

    Ishai.

How did you delete it exactly? What steps did you take to delete it?

Back to netplwiz page, can you select your user, and make sure the check box for "user must enter username and password" is checked.

If you don't see this check box, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign in options, scroll down to mid page, under "Additional Settings",Make sure "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (Recommended). " is turned OFF.

Then see if this user still appears.

    Hello, this is Emily.

Can you hold down Windows + R keys, type in netplwiz and press enter. Do you see this user as well?
