Account suspicious activity

Hi, I received an email from Microsoft Team stating that there has been an unknown suspicious activity, basically someone tried to access my account, 3 times, all from the U.S.

Country/Geographical area: United States

IP: 76.101.64.51

Time: 24/07/2024 04:34 (GMT)

Piattaform: Windows (also iOS too)

Browser: Microsoft Edge (Safari too)

I already changed my password and added my phone number, also I have an access code sent me everytime there's a new access from another device. Is this unknown acces related to CrowsStrike recent problems? Or it's just someone trying to get into my account?

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That is not related to the recent CrowdStrike worldwide outage, that indicates some bot online is trying to hack your account, there is no way to stop that, but eventually they will move on and stop trying to hack your account.

You have performed all the correct steps, provided you have a long and strong password on your account, and you have enabled two step verification, then your account will be safe from that hacking attempt.

Hi Dave, thank you for your reply, I am now reassured that my account is safe, so I can just ignore these attempts since I applied the basic security steps and consider them bots trying to gain access.
