Stack buffer application error

I was doing a boot reset, and as I restart the computer and try to open it again. My pincode cant be typed it and it says "something happened and your PIN isn't avaible. Click to det up again" when I click it it says u need to download an app to set up a new PIN, but I cant since I'm not allowed into the computer. And afterwards it says the system detected an overrun of stack based buffer in the application. And it says it potentially allows malicious intent to take control.

I've tried every button and reset multiple times, I haven't downloaded anything weird. But I'm not positive I don't have a virus. I'm a bit scared, please help🙏

    Hi My Urth

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

We understand that your computer is not logging in properly and you are worried that your computer is infected with a virus.

    You can try the following

First enter safe mode and then do the following

All of the following are done in Safe Mode

Steps to enter safe mode: Start your PC in safe mode in Windows - Microsoft Support

    1. Remove and reset the PIN:

In safe mode, go to Settings > Accounts > Login Options.

Delete the existing PIN and reset a new one.

    1. Run a system scan:

Open a command prompt (administrator mode).

Run the following command to check and repair system files:

    bash

    sfc /scannow

Run the following command to check and repair disk errors:

    bash

    chkdsk /f /r

    1. Check for viruses and malware:

Perform a full disk scan using trusted anti-virus software.

If you don't have an anti-virus program installed, you can download and install one in safe mode.

    1. Try System Restore:

Select “System Restore” in Troubleshooting > Advanced Options.

Select a restore point and restore the system to its previous state.

    5.Reset Windows:

If the above steps do not work, you can consider resetting Windows.

Go to “Settings” > “Update and Security” > “Recovery” > “Reset this computer”.

Select “Keep my files” or “Delete everything” to reset.

(Disclaimer: Whether or not you choose to keep your files when performing a system reset we still recommend backing up in advance.)

Contact me if you need anything else.

    Best wishes
