    Hello Indi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.

I understand that you are having trouble logging into your device. If you enter an incorrect password repeatedly, your device will be locked for a few Hours. However, you can sign in later with the correct password (or) use the 'Forgot password' option on the sign-in screen to reset your Password.

It looks like you have changed your Microsoft account Password online. What happens if you click the 'Forgot password' option on the sign-in screen?

If nothing works on the sign-in screen, you can boot the PC in the Windows Recovery Environment screen to repair the Operating system.

    1. On the Windows sign-in screen, press and hold the Shift key while you select Power > Restart.
    2. After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options.

On the advanced options page, you can use some repair methods to see if it fixes the issue. If repair options didn't work, you can go ahead and factory reset your PC completely by selecting 'Reset this PC' on the Choose an option screen. You can setup your device by signing in with your Microsoft account with a new password.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.

    Best regards,

    Gunasekar N
