Wifi Issue

Moved home from school and tried to setup my computer and my home wifi is not an option. I know it is in reach of my modem because my neighbors wifi is an option. I have no idea what to do and I start grad school in three weeks and would really enjoying using my computer over my laptop. My current driver is the Realtek RTL8192 Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC and I use windows 10. I have no idea when this issue started as I was able to use an ethernet cord while in school and never had to use a wireless connection.

    Hi Connor,

I apologise that the method mentioned above didn't work for you, but did you check your Router Settings?

    Hi Connor,

I am Tanvi, and I would be happy to assist you today!

Check Wi-Fi Channel Overlap- If you can access your router settings, check the Wi-Fi channel. Overlapping channels with neighbours can cause interference. Try changing the channel to a less crowded one.

    Forget and Rejoin Network-

    1. Go to Wi-Fi settings.

    2. Forget your home Wi-Fi network.

    3. Restart your computer.

    4. Try reconnecting to the network.

Also, If possible, borrow a Wi-Fi adapter to see if the issue lies with your internal adapter.
