Hi Hannah. My name is Lester, and I am an Independent Advisor. I'd be more than happy to assist you. I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to help you.
What changes did you make to your computer before the issue started?
Do you remember setting up BitLocker before?
Did you obtain the BitLocker recovery key from your Microsoft account?
Please try the options below. If prompted for a BitLocker key, enter the one you have.
Remove all unnecessary external devices connected to your computer, and then follow these steps:
- Start your PC, and when you see the loading dots, press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds to forcefully shut down.
Do this 2-3 times. This will enter you into the Windows Troubleshooting environment.
- On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
After your device restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select option 5 from the list or press F5 for Safe Mode with Networking. If successful, back up all your important files and then go to the device manager to update drivers.
If this does not work, go back to the Choose an option screen, and follow the path below:
Troubleshoot > Advanced > Startup Repair
Check if the system can repair itself.
Troubleshoot > Advanced
Uninstall Recently Installed Updates(if any)
Troubleshoot > Advanced > System Restore
Select a date before the issue.
Troubleshoot > Reset This PC (Keep My Files)
Try all the options, and hopefully, you will be able to access your PC after this.
I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please let me know. Thank you.
