Thanks. Keep me posted.
Windows randomly deactivated
My Windows 11 Home license seems to have deactivated not long after installing a windows update.
Error code: 0x80072EE7
It says, "We can't activate Windows on this device as our activation servers aren't available right now. Make sure you're connected to the internet and we'll automatically try to activate Windows when the service become available."
It has been like this for 3 days and I can't get that dreadful Activate Windows watermark off my screen. I have also tried to do the "wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey" command along with the one in Powershell and the result doesn't have a product key, instead it comes up with:
Node - MSI-TRIDENT-X2 [<<<<my computer]

I have tried all the solutions I can think of. Any help?

I think you need to perform a repair install first. It is not normal that that slmgr /dlv returns with error. But that usually can be corrected via repair install.
To perform a repair installation of Windows 11 using the Windows Media Creation Tool:
The following steps should be done on a working Windows computer:
Download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's official website. https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win... click on the "download now" button under "Create Windows 11 Installation Media"
Run the tool and select "Create installation media for another PC."
Choose "USB flash drive" as the media to use for the installation and select "Next."
Connect a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space to your computer.
Select the USB flash drive you want to use, and then select "Next."
The tool will then download the required files and create the installation media.
=====================================================
Now these steps will be done on your problematic computer:
Go to the USB drive via File Explorer, locate and run the Setup.exe file. Ideally, you should disconnect all USB and Bluetooth devices other than mouse and keyboard. Disable any 3rd party antivirus program. Disconnect the internet.
Once you run the Setup.exe file, choose the Install option, and the choose the option that keeps your files and apps.

2024-06-17T19:40:41+00:00 I'm not an organization user, therefore have no IT consultant to contact. My computer came with Windows 11 home and I haven't bought or verified Windows 11 pro. The command slmgr /dlv gives me an error: 0xC0000022
Not a clue as I had been running Windows 11 home perfectly fine since I got this pc

EmilyS726 240.6K Reputation points Independent Advisor2024-06-17T19:19:22+00:00 Hello, this is Emily.
This means you are using a volume license the KMS type. This type of license is for organization users only. Organizational users are required to connect to the organization's KMS server to validate license every few years to stay activated. If you are not a organizational user, you shouldn't be using this type of license. It is considered a violation of licensing terms. If you are an organization user, contact your work IT regarding how to connect to their KMS server.
You can type cmd in the search on the taskbar and hit enter to launch command prompt, then run the following command:
slmgr /dlv
A pop up window will show you some details about your license. You can see if you mention volume license KMS somewhere.

Did you computer originally come with home edition and you later upgraded to pro?
