What is event ID 4311? I just rebuilt my laptop after observing a security issue (laptop booting up randomly at night) and saw this as an error in the event viewer. When I tried to go to resource on Microsoft my connection was interrupted and I was booted off. TIA

Hi Ma'at Ra.
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
In your description, you encountered an error with event 4331. What do you mean by rebuilt your laptop? Does it mean reboot?
What is your OS version? You can check by searching "System information" in the taskbar.
Also, if you can, please provide us with what you see in your event viewer (either by taking a photo or screenshot, or uploading a relevant file).
I've noticed that when you try to access a resource on Microsoft, your connection is dropped, and I've determined that it's likely that you're getting a NetBT error on your computer. This could be caused by some driver error. Please refer to the following steps for troubleshooting
1 Search for "Device Manager" in the taskbar, click to open it.
2 In Device Manager, check whether there is any abnormal device, if there is, please right-click it, choose Uninstall, and then restart your computer.
3 If there is no abnormal device, please find the network adapter, right-click, choose to uninstall, and then download the network adapter driver corresponding to your computer model from the official website of your computer's device manufacturer, and then install it on your computer to see if the same problem occurs after that.
In addition, some third-party software may also cause this problem, and to troubleshoot this possibility, I recommend trying a clean boot which starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.
These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step.
Please check if the same problem occurs in the clean boot, if not, please try to open some common software one by one to see which one you are having the problem.
Please let me know the result after the above attempts.
I hope the above can help you, if you have any other questions, or the above did not help you, please continue to contact me, I will provide you with further help, thank you for your support and understanding.
Best regards,
