If I use a VM only for 30 minutes in whole lifetime, will it still chrage me at the end of month?

Hi! I wanted to inquire if I have used my VM instance for only lets say less than hour like 45 mins in my whole lifetime, Will i still be charged monthly price, or does it just stay bill hourly and not monthly?
