When I RMC the "safely remove hardware and eject media" icon on my taskbar using

Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 23H2
Installed on ‎3/‎04/‎2024
OS build 22631.3672
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1009.0
the pilot light for the USB devise does not switch off and I get an Error Message saying that some software is still using the device.

What is wrong and how do I fix it?

Thanks

    Hi Tamir

Please ... I have tried everything I can think of and also everything that Co-pilot has suggested but I still have the problem. You can justifiably assume that I am asking you to look a bit deeper into this problem. The simplest of solutions is often the best but, in this case, the simple solution just doesn't cut it.

    Thanks

HI my name is Tamir, I'm independent advisor With Microsoft, normally to fix this error is to closes all the tab and software you have open and try it that way, the other option is just to restart your computer that will fix it and close any programs that might be open in the background
