system using high disk usage after upgrading to windows 11, what can I do to fix it?

Last night I finally decided to upgrade to windows 11. I got back onto my new pc and the "system" process is using up a lot of the disc. It used to do this for only about like 10 minutes after initial start, but its been roughly 2 hours and it still hasn't died down at all. Can anyone give me tips on how to fix this?
