Here is the one result from a previous reply of yours. I'm not sure how to get the other report to you {System Power Report}, it is an eight page report.
Hope this helps......

The hibernation - and sleep - functions no longer work. I have all the settings set with the correct configeration, but when I close the lid on my laptop the computer stays on.
I've noticed this since the last cummaltive update. Also, the same situation happens on three different computers (two with Windows 10 and one with Windows 11)......
Can someone help me with this, and set my hibernation and sleep options back to working status?
Thank you.

Thank you for responding. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you in a timely manner.
Okay, I've done what you have requested - however, in the system restore area, there are no restore points available. The dialog box is blank and states there are no restore points.
In the meantime, I still do not have my hibernation option available. When I close my lid on the laptop, the laptop stays on and does not go into hibernation mode. {I have the settings set to do this, and have used this option for years. Actually I depend on this option every day.}
Any other suggestions, options, or corrections? Thanks again.....
Sorry to hear that. For your current situation I have below suggestion:
System restore
| 1-> Select the Start button, then type control panel in the search box next to the Start button on the taskbar and select Control Panel (Desktop app) from the results.

2-> Search Control Panel for Recovery, and select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.

3->Choose the restore point related to the problematic app, driver, or update, and then select Next > Finish.

[Reference: Use System Restore - Microsoft Support] |

Could you give us the result of above command I mentioned. Which should be essential to determine the cause of the problem therefore save your from the hassle of revert back maybe, thanks !
Sincerely hope I could offer you some support. Looking forward about your reply.

Greetings--
I'm not sure I really want to uninstall the last update. I did that once before and it was catastrophic (at least for me and my laptop). I even did steps that Louie101 suggested in 2022. Nothing has changed - when I close my laptops lid, the computer stays on and continues to run {even when I have my system set up to go into hibernation mode when the lid is closed}.
I have enclosed a screen shot of my last update, of which this whole problem started.
After looking at some other requests, answers, and postings, I see that I am not the only one with this, or simular, problem/situation.
Instead or resetting one's computer, I would like to suggest that Microsoft focus on the "hibernation" and "sleep" problem and send us all an update that will fix this. Please give us back our hibernation option....... Hopefully, someone out there with Microsoft will see these hibernation and sleep issues and contact the proper departments to fix this.
Thank you again. I, and others, will be anxiously awaiting an update on hibernation and sleep issues.
Hi, WishBoy14.
Welcome to Microsoft support community.
We noticed you are having problem with the sleep problem on your several devices, which is pretty odd.
First of all, did all the device has the problem after the update? Can you tell us what update number is so we can investigate if it is an ongoing issue about the recent update. You could check that under Setting > Windows Update > Update History.
If you are sure this is happening after the update, we suggest the most straight forward method is: restore point, uninstall update. *Just keep in mind not all the updates could be uninstalled.
Uninstall the update: | 1->Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates .
View update history

2-> On the list that appears, locate the update you want to remove, and then select Uninstall next to it.

[ Reference: How to uninstall a Windows update - Microsoft Support ] | | --- |

For actually adjust the power setting, we suggest:
powercfg command
Open CMD in admin mode, input below command line by line:
| powercfg /sleepstudy

powercfg /availablesleepstates |
|---|
The first command output the available power state on your machine currently. The second one output a report which tell you the diary of sleep event on your computer in last three day(by default). From that we should determine the cause of the issue.
powercfg - availablesleepstates
We hope above information could help you adjust the issue; feel free to keep the situation updated so we could continue investigation. Looking forward about your reply.
