Change cache.dns file

Hello everyone,

A question was raised here at the company and I would like to know what Microsoft's position is.

They want to change the cache.dns file to make DNS for the local network.

We have a server with DNS in the DMZ, another within the local network. They want to change the file on the DMZ server so that it doesn't go inside.

Thank you in advance for your help in clarifying this doubt.

Kind regards
