Windows 10 RTM issue?
Hi, i have recently purchased a used laptop from someone and it is fairly new, not used for a long time. However, there were some defective files installed and i didnt know which one made the laptop slow. So, i did a clean windows 11 pro installation. Then i couldnt activate my license as apperantly the laptop was purchased with a windows 10 RTM license but the guy i bought it from downloaded a cracked windows 11 version. Could anyone help me with this as am not too good with laptops. Should i clean install windows 10 and if i do will the RTM license key work? I really dont care which version of windows i use i just want it to be activated for security and updates.

2024-06-17T00:35:46+00:00 Thank you Dave for you response, the issue was simply resolved by installing windows 10, now it’s working fine.
However, the issue am facing right now is with the Xbox app, the download is very slow, which wasn’t the case before I downgraded to windows 10.
Any advise?

2024-06-16T13:03:41+00:00 usually a laptop would have an OEM licence from the manufacturer. Whether that is for Windows 10 Pro or perhaps Home edition depends on the make and model.
Can you check the make and model online or post the details here and we could check.
