Hi all,

An employee has recently run into an issue with his Probook 455 G9, wherein after starting the machine, it begins booting up, and then holds the throbber before shutting down completely. At one point there was an error message displayed (see attached image) stating:

"The instruction at 0x00007FFEA835A424 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program"

Due to the nature of the issue, we haven't been able to get past the loading screen to find the issue or provide additional screenshots.

Any support or advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Can you access the Recovery Environment using these steps?

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.
