I am trying to access the files in my user folder from my old computer's hard drive (it's in an external case and it was using Windows 10) from another computer (using Windows 11), but it is not visible. Under Users, I can only see default and public. Thoughts?

    Hi Mitch_VS_69,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Based on the original description, the device seems to be experiencing issues related to the folder invisibility .

This could be related to different factors including, but not limited to, driver failures, component conflicts, corrupted account profile, corrupted system components, and physical failures.

On some of our previous devices configured with dual boot (also Windows 10 and Windows 11), files in one system partition were visible to the other system.

If you remember the name for some users, you can try typing the directory of the user profile directly into File Explorer's address bar to check if the file itself is corrupted or gone.

In the thread containing a similar issue, some community members tried to use special commands to manage file/folder attributes.
