Changing language in windows

Hi,

I recently purchased and successfully installed the Dutch version of Windows 11 Home on a USB. Initially, I was able to switch the language to English. However, following an update, I noticed that some parts of the Windows text are now in English while others remain in Dutch. For example, on the welcome screen, the word for password appears as ‘wachtwoord’, yet ‘welcome’ is correctly displayed in English.

Despite my efforts and following numerous online guides, I haven’t been able to fully resolve this issue. I’ve set the Windows language to English, adjusted the language and region to English and United States respectively, and even modified settings in the “Copy setting” and “Change system locale” sections under Administrator Region. Unfortunately, the problem persists.

Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello, Mh)

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Sorry to hear about your situation, it seems that you are experiencing the presence of the original Dutch language even after switching the system language to English.

This can happen, sometimes the system language synchronization is similar to a data synchronization, it takes some time to change all the languages in your system, so you can wait a little bit.

In the meantime, if you don't have the English language pack installed, you can download the local experience pack from the Microsoft Store and download the language you need.
