Sporadic error triggered while printing on Server 2016 with gdi32full.dll
Hello we have a server that is running Windows Server 2016 and it has the latest updates and printer drivers installed. Our developers have an in house developed application that interfaces with SQL to print jobs from an ERP system. When the custom app prints jobs sometimes it triggers this error and the custom app stops working. A close and a reopening of the custom app resumes operation and print jobs resume operation thru this custom app. Printing thru Windows Devices and Printers does not produce any issues, no restart of the print spooler service is required, it is just print jobs that are being communicated thru this custom app. The developers think there is an MS bug on the gdi32full.dll because it points to print issues from the event viewer and from the many articles online thru many Windows 10 users who have had printing issues thru the gdi32full.dll file. I have read many solutions for Windows 10 and uninstallation of certain KB updates but in our case none were pertaining to us. Any ideas? Screenshot of error is attached.
Thanks in advance for all the replies.
