Why does windows always changes my device setting after a restart?

I have this problem with 2 of my devices, my headset and my mouse. When I start my PC, the output of my system audio changes to a different device, which is incapable of making sound. For my mouse: after each restart, the Windows sensitivity of my mouse gets reset to the standard value, and the Windows mouse acceleration turns on. I always have to change every time after restart.

Here is what I tried to solve this problem:

Reinstalled software and drivers for mouse and headset.

Deactivated all nonimportant audio devices(it always activates again).

Tried to search for corrupted files with the command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

tried the windows troubleshoot feature(never works for anything anyways)

    Hi mousseensguy,

Thank you for getting back to us.

What type of devices are they?

Are they wired devices? Or are they Bluetooth devices?

If the problem occurs after the software environment changes, the possibility of driver status change or profile corruption cannot be ruled out.

Results obtained in a relatively clean environment help narrow the scope of analysis.

My system is Windows 11 Pro, currently version 23H2, OS Build is: 22631.3737

I have had this problem for a few months now, I am not too sure when it started but i never had this problem before I switched from widows 10 to 11.

I assume the problem is not caused by the drives of my mouse or headset, as they are devices from different companies and use different controle softwares.

I have not tested this problem in an clean enviroment.

    Hi mousseensguy,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Based on the original description, the device seems to be experiencing issues related to the automatic changes to "Settings".

Generally, Windows does not have the ability to actively, automatically and extensively reset/restore Settings.

The symptoms you are experiencing imply potential profile corruption, third-party process interference, system component failure, and many other possibilities.

For example, on my personal device, my audio device is automatically forced to be the audio device created by the audio effects software I have installed.

If possible, would you mind sharing more information about this issue with us?

If I misunderstand your situation, feel free to correct me and share the information.

    Best Regards,
