Please extract it from the latest (22H2) ISO. Older versions of winre.wm won't help.

//And if so please can you tell me how ?//

Check my previous post for the link.

Or, read below:

Follow the steps to extract a fresh winre.wim copy from the ISO.

  1. Download the 22H2 ISO using the Media Creation Tool. https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=2265055
  2. Mount the ISO by double-click it. A drive letter will be assigned for the ISO.
  3. Open the Sources folder.
  4. Open install.esd or install.wim using 7-Zip.

Winre.wim is located here:

Image

  1. Copy it to the Desktop.

6) Close 7-Zip.

7) Move winre.wim from your desktop to "C:\Windows\System32\Recovery".

The Winre.wim image is missing, without which WinRE can't be enabled.

Extract a fresh copy from the Windows 10 ISO, and then use the 7-Zip method in this article to extract winre.wim from the ISO.

After extracting the Winre.wim file, copy it to C:\Windows\system32\Recovery\

Let me know once the above steps are completed.

WinRE is disabled on the computer. KB5034441 won't install if WinRE is disabled.

    Let's see where is winre.wim.

    Please run;

    • dir c:\windows\system32\recovery /a

    Post the output.
