Windows contrast display issue

So my problem seems strange. It occurred both when I was on windows 10, and when I updated to windows 11. The problem first manifested on teams. I would do group meetings and one on one. Group meetings when the person shared their screen was fine. One on one, the contrast was so high I could barely see anything. One day it just started doing this. I was often following along with the same page being shown and he was verbally going over it so it was fine. But now I tried Remote Desktop with splash top, and exact same contrast issue. I have also done zoom meeting on a web browser and no issues when someone shared screen. I don’t know why this issues happens some places sometimes and not others which makes it hard for a non-computer person to try and figure out what even could be the problem

    Hello Ryan Godard,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Microsoft Answers Community.

To better understand the problem, I want to ask a few questions:

    • Is it a desktop or laptop? What is the brand and model of the laptop, motherboard, or monitor?
    • Is HDR enabled? Please right-click the desktop->Display settings, and turn HDR off. Does the issue persist?
    • Please try connecting another monitor to the computer. Does the issue persist?
    • Please try saving a screenshot. Does the issue also occurs in the screenshot?

In the meantime, we would like you to provide us with some answers to the above questions first, so that we can provide you with a more accurate solution.

We look forward to your response.

    Best Regards,

Sheng G. - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
