I had a very important, very large folder on my desktop go missing over night. No other files or folders are missing from my desktop/computer, just the most important one. I've searched throughout the whole computer including the recycle bin and the hidden folders and cannot find the folder anywhere. Can someone please help!!! This is insane and very bizarre.

Unfortunately I suspect the folder is probably gone.
There are some freeware applications that will try to find missing files. You could try one of those...
The Desktop is not designed as a data storage location - Desktop is a specific Windows System folder and you shouldn't store critical data there precisely because this sort of thing happens.
Not what you want to hear, I'm sure, but that's the unfortunate outcome....
