consistent update problems error code: (0x800f0805)

Hello. I've been having troubles updating my windows since roughly the end of February this year. Along with that I've noticed a missing wsock32.dll error anytime I try to launch Steam, which prior to this had worked fine without any sort of errors that couldn't be solved be restarting the program/my PC. I have a hunch the two errors could be linked. I don't know much beyond a general layman, however, I have tried general scans through cmd prompt and none of them have fixed my issue. I'm hoping I wont need to wipe and try a fresh install on my hard-drive, but I'm not sure what else to try at this point. Thank you for any feedback

Hi Daeman, I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

This can certainly be fixed without a fresh install.

Could you share a screenshot of the update history?

The first step would be to try resetting Windows updates using an automatic script.

Download the file > Right-click it and run as administrator. Reboot and check for updates again.
