every time i try and drag and drop a file from one file window to another it pulls up the "this files may be harmful for your computer" and this only started happening this year. This also doesn't happen when i copy and paste the files, I've tried a lot of the common solutions for this and the ones on support but they never worked.

    Hello, vivipluvio

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Thank you for your feedback. Have you tried the following methods? Please let me know if it has been tried. You can try the following method:

Open the control panel and find internet options. Click on security and click on custom level.

In the “Miscellaneous” section, select “Enable (not secure)” for the option “Launch applications and unsafe files (not secure)”.

Click OK and then apply the changes; you will have a warning asking if you are sure you want to do this, click OK. Then restart your computer.

If the above doesn't work, please let me know and this will help me locate your problem.

    Best Regards,

Aaron | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
