Hi,

When we make a connection via our Always On VPN User tunnel, all internet sites are defined as local intranet (iexplore)!
We have "automatically detect intranet network" enabled.
When we disable it, and the options below, internet sites are correctly shown as internet sites instead of intranet.

Does anyone know why all internet sites are incorrectly categorized as intranet sites?

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

My understanding is that your client can connect AOVPN successfully. When "automatically detect intranet network" was enabled in IE, all internet sites cannot access. However, when this option was disabled, all internet sites can access successfully. In such case, we need collect corresponded network traffic for further troubleshooting and finding the root cause of this issue. However, analysis of network traffic is beyond our forum support level. So I would suggest you contact Microsoft Customer Support and Services where more in-depth investigation can be done so that you would get a more satisfying explanation and solution to this issue.

You may find phone number for your region accordingly from the link below:

    Best Regards,
    Sunny
