Two different devices assigned at same Com port

Question

Hello guys,

i'm having an issue with the com port assignement. I have 2 devices USBtoCOM using two different driver (1x FTDI, 1x Windows driver).

The devices with Windows driver is always connected. When i connect the FTDI device, sometimes Windows assign the correct com port, sometimes assign the same com port already used from Windows driver device.

I know to solving the assigment need to change the com number in advanced settings.

This is not a permanent solution to the problem, but a temporary solution until the next incorrect assignment.

Can something be done to solve the problem once and for all?
