hello I received my firewire card this morning as well as its included cable.

here is the reference: https://www.amazon.fr/Regun-contrôl...08FJ4KLLH/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

After installing the card in my PC I decide to launch software allowing me to play the videos from the cassette using firewire but unfortunately the software does not detect the camcorder. I then try to update my firewire card with this driver :

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/firewire-port-based-device-does-not-work-correctly-in-windows-8-1-or-windows-8-2242eed9-e8e2-00eb-c854-9335ea06c5fe

but when I try to update the card my pc blue screen then crash. I don't know why if anyone can help me on this.
thank you for your understanding

    Hi, waly ndiaye

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I understand that your newly purchased device does not work on Windows 10 and crashes with the driver.

That's because firewire's driver support goes up to Windows 8.1 and there is no driver version for Windows 10. I suggest you consult the seller of the firewire card or try to do your operation on a Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 device.

Thank you for your support and participation in the Microsoft community, if you have any other questions please ask me and I will do my best to help you!

    Best Regards,
