Hi,
For whatever reason, the input locale is set to nl-be;Dutch (Belgium)

In all places where I can change language settings, I don't see any reference to Dutch

How can I change it to fr-be; French (Belgium) ?

This is what I get with the systeminfo command

System Locale: en-us;English (United States)

Hi,

I fixed the problem by changing the value in the Registry.
It's now Ok. You can close the ticket.

Thanks

    Hello,

We apologize for the late reply.

Based on the situation, it could be caused by a profile corruption, so please try testing with a clean profile by creating a new local administrator.

To do so, right-click Start->Terminal/PowerShell/Command prompt (Admin), and enter the following commands:

    net user user1 pass1 /add

    net localgroup administrators user1 /add

(Substitute "user1" and "pass1" with the username and password of the new user; you may need to use the French or Dutch word "administrators" instead of the English word.)

After creating the user, please reboot, select the new user in the login screen, and log in. check whether the issue persists.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your feedback.

I have no idea when it started.
Quite recently, I decided to use Windows application like Weather and the data are displayed in Dutch despite my OS is in English.
Obviously, some applications are defining the UI language from this Input Locale parameter.

Windows 10 is configured as follows:

    • Windows display: English (United States)
    • Apps & website English (Belgium)
    • Regional Format: French (Belgium)
    • Keyboard: French (Belgium)
    • Speech: English (United States)

Despite investigating Internet, I don't find a way to correct this.

Unfortunately, inserting image doesn't work here

    Hello Robert Baudewyns,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Microsoft Answers Community.

To better understand the problem, I want to ask a few questions:

    • When did the issue start to occur? (like installing an update or installing certain applications)
    • Can you change the input locale back, and does the change persist after rebooting?
    • What is the keyboard layout of the computer?

In the meantime, we would like you to provide us with some answers to the above questions first, so that we can provide you with a more accurate solution.

We look forward to your response.

    Best Regards,

Sheng G. - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
