Windows Crashing, potential memory error

Hello!

My PC has been crashing recently, and I am pretty sure it is some kind of ram/memory error, but I wanted to ask around before I buy new ram if I dont have to. This error was first noticed with a crashing of Dota 2, giving a "pak01 vpk corrupt" error message. This has now progressed to my entire PC crashing, and I believe these are related issues. I have the dmp files, but I am not sure how to read them to be honest.

Anyone have and ideas?

Thanks,

Jack

When I type verifier /reset, it says no settings were changed. Does that mean it was already off? I will follow the other steps

The dmp files indicate driver errors related to the Nvidia graphics driver and RGB lighting controller drivers.

    1. Disable the Driver Verifier again as it will trigger your computer another crash.

Open Command Prompt as an administrator

    then type in

    verifier /reset

    and press enter

    1. Clean and install Nvidia graphics drivers.

Download the latest graphics driver from the Manufacturer's support website.

    Select Custom

    Then Perform a clean installation.

    Restart your computer.

    1. Driver Verifier indicates that a driver related to RGB controller software is causing a crash.

If you have any software related to RGB temporarily uninstall that RGB controller software.

    1. Some of the DMP files indicate memory-related crashes. Perform a Memory test to detect or check if you have faulty memory or can be a bad memory slot. We need at least 8 passes.
