I just received a new computer with Win 11.

After setting it up I'm experiencing changes that I am not very fond of. Here's one.

I have Facebook and Messenger for my wife and myself. Now, when someone uses Messenger to call my wife, I get an on-screen pop-up that someone is calling her and an "answer" "close" option.

Does anybody know why this is happening even though she is not on Facebook and messenger is designed to call the phone number that's on Messenger? It never happened on my old computer

Hello Boongsongum, welcome to the Microsoft community.

Based on your feedback, you are having issues with Messenger.

Are you referring to the old version of Messenger or the chat function in Settings > Personalization > Taskbar?

Currently, the old version of Messenger no longer has technical support.

You can try using new software as an alternative, such as Skype, personal Teams, and other software.

Hope the above information is helpful to you.
