Incompatible processor for Windows 11 upgrade

My Dell 27AIO running Windows 10 Home passes a PC Health Check for a Windows 11 upgrade except for an incompatible processor. Wondering if anyone knows what missing functionality is present with an Intel Core i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz and 48 GB of RAM. Is it possible to upgrade anyway?

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Unfortunately, your processor is not on the supported processor list for Windows 11.

See the link below for supported processors for Windows 11.

Microsoft does not recommend installing Windows 11 on computers that are not supported. Your device may malfunction due to compatibility or other issues.

If you still want to install Windows 11 on a computer that doesn't meet the minimum requirements, you can install it at your own risk, as shown under "Other ways to install Windows 11 (not recommended)" in the article below.

If software was the issue, you could add the software. But in this case, hardware is the issue: I do not believe that PC supports TPM 2.0, but you can check that with Dell.

Also see WhyNotWin11 It gives a more detailed explanation.
