Hi,

I Uninstalled one Program name Beauty Taskbar and on Task Manager it shows no file location on right click.

But recently i found that this program still appears in Task Manager as you can see here.

  1. I checked Registry Editor but it is not there.
  2. I checked C:\Program Files and other folders as well, but i couldn't find any folders related to this uninstalled program.
  3. I checked C:\Program Files (x86) and other folders as well, but i couldn't find any folders related to this uninstalled program.
  4. In C:\Users\altta\AppData also i checked but there is no such folders or files there. Also i checked whole C Drive to search Beauty Taskbar but it is not there either.
  5. In Task Manager it was showing enabled and i Disabled it.

My question is, why it is still appearing in my Task Manager when it is already uninstalled from Installed Apps menu and how to delete it?

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There is a registry key left over from that uninstalled software that is causing it to still appear on the Startup tab.

Click the link below to download a small free utility that does not require installation.

    https://download.sysinternals.com/files/Autorun...

When the file downloads, unzip it.

    Run Autoruns64 as Administrator

Select the Logon tab at the top of Autoruns, you should be able to find the entry for that app, then right click and delete it from there.

Restart (not shut down) your PC to apply that change.

Rest assured, you did not do anything wrong, it is the uninstaller for that software that the developer created was not coded to remove the entry from Windows Startup setting, there is no problem with your Windows installation.
