Hi,

A month ago I started getting a BSOD error randomly when I turned on my system from sleep mode.

I did not encounter such issues if the system was turned on from shut down or restart mode.

I went through the community pages and found suggestions to update Windows. Once I updated Windows to v 11 and stopped getting the BSOD error.

For a few weeks, things were good but I received a completely different error today (portcls.sys). Please advise

    Hi,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

The minidump files did not name any driver, only pointing to portcls.sys, a Windows component. This means that a different factor led to the system error or it could be a memory corruption that usually happens due to incompatible drivers.

If your computer encounters BSOD only once after upgrading to Windows 11, it could have happened because of updating a driver in the background. Otherwise, enable the driver verifier and let the computer crash 3 times then disable it and share the newly created minidump file for further analysis:

Please do not hesitate to ask if you need further assistance.
