Open the Settings app, then go to Apps - Installed Apps.
Scroll down to find the HP System Event Utility and uninstall it from there.
Restart your laptop to apply the change.

Windows does not have the function to generate on-screen indicators, that is always created by a utility installed by the PC manufacturer or the keyboard manufacturer.
If you are using a laptop, do you have a HP laptop, there seems to be an emerging problem with HP laptops after that update, if your laptop is not a HP what is the make (Dell, Lenovo, Asus... etc.) of your laptop?
