    Hi, paolo mornato

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the blue screen you encountered while trying to reset your laptop. The "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" error with "Tbtbusdrv.sys" indicates that there may be a problem with the Thunderbolt bus driver.

Unfortunately, it's not enough to analyze the blue screen problem just by the keyword "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" that appears on the screen. Therefore, it is necessary to gather more information about the specific error and analyze the system logs to find out the exact cause of the problem.

To do this, you can refer to the link below to configure and save the blue screen log file (if the system condition allows you to perform these actions):

Read small memory dump files - Windows Client | Microsoft Learn

    • The log will be saved when the blue screen occurs again.
    • You can compress the .dmp file into a zip file and upload it to a network drive (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox will work).
    • Set the file permissions to share and share the link with me.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

    Best Regards

Martin | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
