Right Click and Left Click selection in windows explorer not working - Windows 11 Pro

I'm running Windows 11 Pro and in March updated the system with 2024-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5035853) from 2024-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034204).

Since then, when using  windows explorer, I have been unable to use the right-click menu. I am able to call up the right click menu but am unable to select anything in it.

Additionally I am unable to use the left click function on any of the top menu bars unless the windows explorer window is full screen and even then this is intermittent.

Keen for help to understand what is going on and how to fix.

Hi Kyo,

Thanks for looking into this.

My IT team and I managed to resolve the issue after a number of attempts at different things.

We established that the bug was coming from a software clash with FLIR Ignite Sync's routine software start-up whenever I turned my machine on. Once I deactivated its auto start-up after log-in setting in the task manager things have bene working as normal.

Thanks again for investigating and responding.

Best wishes,

James.

    Hi James York1,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We performed the test in Windows above that KB number (Windows 11 23H2 OS Build 22635.3420) but failed to reproduce the same situation.

If possible, would you mind sharing more information about this issue with us?

If I misunderstand your situation, feel free to correct me and share the information.

    Best Regards,
