"Start" process consuming too much RAM

Lately some of my apps started to crash because of insufficient memory. When I checked the task manager, I saw that the "Start" process was eating about 4GB's of RAM. I killed the process and it did go back to normal. But it happens every once in a while with seemingly no specific causes. If it helps, I started noticing this behaviour after I installed docker on my system.

    Since you have mentioned that the issue occurred after installing Docker, please uninstall Docker and see whether the issue persists. If the RAM issue is gone, it is caused by Docker, and please contact their developers for further assistance.

    If the issue persists, you can try performing a clean boot to see whether it is caused by a third-party application.

    To do so, right-click Start->Task manager, go to the "Startup" tab and disable all startup items. Then, press WIndows+R and enter "msconfig" to enter system configuration. Go to the "Services" tab, select "Hide all Microsoft services", and then select "Disable all". Select Apply and reboot. See whether the issue persists.
