Windows Hello Face ID Doesn't Work With Multiple Monitors

I have a Dell laptop with a docking station. I have two large monitors attached to the docking station. When I initially sign-in to Windows, the laptop's screen is used for Windows Hello Face ID access, and I am successfully logged in. I have my screens configured to then use the two large monitors and turn of the laptop's screen. If I need to use Face ID for authentication (for example in Microsoft Edge to view passwords), the camera turns on, on the laptop, but the Face ID is never recognized. I have to use the PIN to authenticate. If I turn off the two external monitors, and the laptop's screen becomes enabled, I can then successfully authenticate using Face ID.

If I were you, I'd contact Dell Support about this issue, since from a quick search it's evident that Dell has monitors that also contain cameras for Hello Face, so it's likely that there's some type of issue causing an interaction between Windows Hello and what a Dell system believes is the correct configuration and monitor/camera to use.

Since those issues would be specific to Dell systems, their external monitors and in fact your own specific device and possibly configuration as well, it's something that Dell Support should know much better than a random person here. though you can leave your post here on the off chance someone else has had the same issue in the past and sees it.
